Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years following their departure for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
