Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A young child was among those injured in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
